Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for managing the technical aspects of merchant and integrated software vendors (ISV) integration into Qualpay products. You will assist in fostering a relationship with the customer to understand their integration needs and create a long-term solution that meets their needs while minimizing the interchange expense of processing payments. This position will act as a product ambassador and uncover current needs as well as recommend solutions for improving our products, APIs, Sandbox experience and Developer Center. You are able to tailor your communication to a high developer technical level but also communicate effectively with internal teammates.
Responsibilities Include:
- Be the technical integrations payments expert.
- Act as a single technical point of contact for our customers (both merchants and ISVs) during the sales process through go-live for integration questions and provide integration solutions for more complex payment configurations.
- For Qualpay paid-for integrations, support the drafting of an SOW, collaborate with an ISV on deliverables, and help test and document ISV features where they integrate with Qualpay.
- Develop code samples to demonstrate best practices and minimize customer development time across various languages and frameworks.
- Accurately represent the Company’s current product capabilities and future roadmap/planned enhancements.
- Support training of team members on new merchant and ISV integrations.
- Suggest creative and effective alternatives when there is a gap between the customer’s needs and our current/planned capabilities.
- As needed, support the testing of Qualpay API’s during the release of new Payment Gateway and Platform releases.
- Drive communication to existing ISVs on new API features, and for merchant communications work closely with the Director of Customer Success.
- Regularly collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to incorporate customer feedback and suggestions and improve our products and solutions, focusing on the Qualpay APIs, Sandbox experience and content, as well as the structure of the Developer Center.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Hands-on experience with APIs and SDKs, as well as web and mobile technologies.
- Strong technical aptitude with knowledge of HTTPS post, HTML, XML and object-oriented languages.
- Demonstrated ability to convert customer requirements into solutions that effectively work within a payments framework/platform.
- 5+ years of work experience in a customer-facing, semi-technical or sales engineer role within the payments/ finance/ banking industry.
- Working knowledge of product development, general programming, and technical understanding
- Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to skillfully prioritize and manage concurrent projects;
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- Experience in working with cross-functional/cross-department teams;
- A self-starter with strong organization skills and resolution management;
- Proficiency in Postman, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as G-Suite tools.
